A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live in support and supported accommodation support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.  They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children – they believe that setting them up with the life skills now will help them turn into well rounded members of the community.  Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.

 

They are recruiting for a Supported Accommodation Home Manager, you will be:-:-

 

  • Based in a self contained flat complex in Southport
  • Working 1x 24 hour shift per week (10am till 10am next day is a shift), then you get a day off then the next 3 days can be broken down to fulfil the rest of your 40 hour week
  • Working with male and female young adults from 16-18 years old
  • Supporting the young adult with preparing them for living alone and helping them navigate self sufficiency and growing into a responsible adult
  • Making sure they are supported emotionally as well so they can work towards not needed the support as they grow older
  • Dealing with OFSTED, regulations, H&S and making sure the home runs smoothly

 

 

Salary and benefits for a supported accommodation support worker home manager:-

 

  • £29120 without the NVQ level 3 OR £31200 if you already have it
  • £60 per sleep in – in addition to the above salary
  • 224 hours holiday per year – you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years
  • Bank holidays paid at x1.5
  • Private healthcare

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements for a Supported Accommodation home manager:-

 

  • Living within travelling distance to the home in Southport
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce is needed
  • If you have your level 5 that would be a great advantage, or at least working towards it
  • You would also need experience working within an environment of supporting young people in a residential setting
  • OFSTED experience would also be needed
